This is a testing release

Most Wishlisted is provided by Focal Point Advisory. This is a free testing version, provided as is: it may change, break, or be reset, including deleting test data, while we build it. It isn’t a finished commercial product yet, and we don’t promise it will be available at any particular time, or that using it will get your game any particular result, including any number of wishlists or sales.

Your content

Your studio owns whatever it uploads and creates in the app: media, posts, captions and game site content. You give us only the rights we need to store it, process it and display it back to you, so we can run the app, for example generating a signed link so your own game site can show an image you uploaded. See our privacy notice for how we store and protect it.

Your responsibility

Your studio is responsible for what it posts and publishes through the app, including to Instagram, TikTok, Discord, or its own game site. You’re responsible for following each platform’s own rules and terms, and for anything you tell visitors to your game site or people you email.

Posting and approval

Nothing posted through the app, to any connected account, goes out without a person actively approving that exact post first. Editing it afterwards means it needs approving again. You’re responsible for checking a post before you approve it.

Connecting accounts and post numbers

You can connect your accounts, and add public accounts and post links, so we can read the numbers on posts and show them next to your Steam numbers. Our privacy notice says what we read and keep. Connecting Threads or a Facebook Page is only for reading those numbers: we never post to either. For Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, nothing is posted without a person approving that exact post, as described above. You’re responsible for only connecting accounts you’re allowed to use, and for following each platform’s own rules.

YouTube

By connecting YouTube or using our YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Post numbers and what they show

The numbers we show for your posts are each platform’s own figures, or numbers you typed in. Platforms count in different ways, and can change, correct or stop giving their numbers after we read them, so a number here may differ from the one in the platform’s own app, and from another platform’s. Instagram, Threads and Facebook numbers are Meta’s own estimates and can change. Some numbers aren’t available for some accounts, and we show those as not available rather than as zero. We can’t promise that a platform will keep giving us a number, or that it will arrive on time.

We show what happened to your Steam numbers around the time of a post, not why. We don’t know that a post caused any change, and we don’t say so. A sale, a festival, a creator’s video or an email can move your numbers on the same day. Use the timeline to look for patterns and ask questions, not as proof.

Posts that aren’t yours

You can add a link to someone else’s public post, for example a creator’s video about your game. Don’t add a post to harass or follow a person. We remove a post if its author asks us to.

Estimates and guidance

The wishlist and revenue estimator, the Kickstarter goal calculator, Steam watch’s wishlist ranges, the release window planner and the pricing and discount planner all give planning estimates, built from published, cited rules of thumb. They’re not financial, tax or legal advice, and they don’t guarantee a result: your own game’s numbers can run well outside them. The same goes for anything our founder tells you in a consult: general guidance from someone who’s done it before, not advice tailored to your finances, tax or legal position. Talk to your own accountant or lawyer for that.

Tracking tags and the browser extension

Unless you switch it off for a game, we add tracking tags to the links to your Steam page in your posts, emails, game site and press kit, so you can see which of them brought people in: see our privacy notice for exactly what they carry. Our browser extension for Chrome and Edge reads only your own Steamworks wishlist and UTM report pages, only when you click it, and sends only those numbers to your account. It’s provided as is, and needs your own access to Steamworks to work.

Consults

A consult is an hour with our founder on your own key decisions: general guidance, not our founder doing the work for you, and not advice tailored to your finances, tax or legal position. You can reschedule a confirmed, paid consult yourself up to 24 hours before it starts, at most twice. Inside that 24 hours, or once you’ve already rescheduled twice, the booking stands: not showing up, or arriving late, forfeits that time, with no refund. We can cancel a confirmed consult too; if we do, we refund it.

The insider offer

An insider offer is a pay-what-you-want purchase a studio makes available on its own game site, paid straight into that studio’s own connected Stripe account. The studio, not us, is the seller: it sets the reward, it’s responsible for delivering it, and it handles its own refunds and disputes. We never hold or see that money, and we’re not a party to that sale.

Your access code

Your access code is personal to your studio: keep it to yourself, and don’t share or publish it. Anyone who has it can act as your studio in the app. Tell us straightaway if you think it’s been exposed, so we can revoke it.

Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully, and only through the interface we provide. Don’t try to break it, disrupt it, access another studio’s data, or use it to post anything illegal or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.

You’re responsible for keeping your connector tokens safe. Don’t use the connector, or the service, to build a competing product, to scrape or bulk-export it, or to reverse engineer it.

We can suspend access

We can suspend or revoke an access code, or take the app down, at any time, including if we believe it’s being misused or a platform we connect to requires it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy the Australian Consumer Law gives you and that can’t lawfully be excluded. Outside of that, to the fullest extent the law allows, we give no other warranty about the app, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, wishlists, sales or data, arising from your use of it. You agree to cover us for any loss, claim or cost we face because of your studio’s own content, your posts, or your breach of these terms. Where the law lets us limit our liability, it’s limited to supplying the service again, or paying what that would cost, and in any case to no more than you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Australian law

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and that’s where any dispute is dealt with.
